Our Story
Lilley was founded by Steve Lilley in Leicester, England. As a young man, Steve recognized the need for stylish, budget-friendly women’s shoes. He opened the first Lilley store on Halford Street, bringing his vision to life.
The shop was an immediate hit with local shoppers. Steve had a knack for predicting the latest trends and filling his shelves with on-trend styles at prices working women could afford. Word spread fast about Lilley’s selection of fashionable footwear.
Within a few short years, Steve opened 5 more stores across the East Midlands. The Lilley brand quickly became synonymous with fun, wearable shoes and accessories. Business was booming, and expansion continued through the 60s and 70s.
In the 80s, Lilley landed on a winning formula – trend-led products, low prices, and excellent customer service. Steve’s sons, Neil and Mike Lilley, joined the company and spearheaded its growth. New Lilley stores opened rapidly, blanketing the UK.
Today, Lilley has over 170 stores across the United Kingdom and Ireland. Though so much has changed over the decades, our core values remain the same. We’re still an innovative, fashion-forward shoe brand providing customers with amazing style at affordable prices.
